My husband and I have been students of Gurukul yoga for a year now. I must say that this is the first time that we have kept up with yoga classes so consistently. We look forward to our Tuesday night yoga. Prashant is our teacher most nights. Prashant is an extremely good teacher and, the yoga moves are very authentic. It is evident that both Prashant and Manju are very knowledgeable in yogic practices. We enjoy our yoga sessions and plan to continue for as long as we can. Good Job.

The major benefit to which I can personally attest to is a heightened sense of wellbeing. My regular, daily breathing is more relaxed and effective resulting in a composed and more receptive attitude which I bring to my daily activities. Also, a host of minor aches and twinges have been lifted due to the “beautiful” stretches and warm ups. Yoga practice has produced a net gain in my weekly quality of life.

Gurukul, a perfect abode for yoga lovers/beginners and we say this with spending a year with Gurukul. Its been an awesome expereince with both Prashant sir and Manju right from the start. The welcoming atmosphere to true authentic yoga techniques makes it a memorable journey for anyone who has a zeal to learn. Absolute professionalism is portrayed when Prashant Sir gave a class with just 1 student that being my husband, this certainly awed us. Taking personal interest in a professional setup is a rare combination in today’s commercial world which I hope always remains with the Center. I want to thank you for all the work and progress that you have made with the junior players in Courtside’s Elite Dog Pound Junior Tennis Program. It has become noticeable in a short period of time. As you well know, the game of tennis is a difficult pursuit on athletic merits alone, but when you throw in the mental strains that are added at any competitive level, the difficulty multiplies greatly. Your work with the kids has given them an avenue to turn to so that they may work out the mental stresses through breathing exercises, relaxation skills that you have introduced to them. I believe that as the group’s physical skills improve, your work will show through even more and be a most beneficial tool in their arsenal of tennis weapons. Moreover, I believe that these are also important life skills that allow them to be better people as they mature. Having spent years on the ATP Tour both as a coach and player and as a coach on the WTA Tour as a coach, I wish that I had been exposed to more of what you have to the skills that you have introduced to our students.

I enjoyed immensely your Yoga lecture (theory and practice) of last
Friday, October 20, in Siena, Italy. In fact, I learned a lot. I learned
how living can be easy and rewarding if one pays attention to the right
things and to what nature generously offers to us. I wish I had attended
this lecture decades ago: my life would have been completely different.
But I also learned this lesson from you: it is never too late.
Dear Professor Prashant,
it was a pleasure to attend your lesson on Simplify and Demistify: it
has awakened in me the desire to resume yoga practice (now suspended for
a few years). I know, by experience, the beneficial effects it can
exercise on body/mind; I really know that "yoga is meditation" as you
said! So I want to thank you for the time you have dedicated and for the
emotions you have given us. Speaking with Andrea after the meeting with
you, we repeatedly laughed together deliberately and tried, without
success, to breathe like a horse: every time, this made us laughing ...
We hope you may come back soon a hold a long training course for us...

I have never tried yoga. I have always been curious and wondered if I would even benefit from it. I must say, after 1 session with Coach P, I was a whole new person. I was smoking cigarettes and my wife and I were trying to have a baby at the time. Honestly, I felt better after that one session than I have in years. It is almost like a drug, because the natural high is unreal. I quit smoking immediately. My wife and I were having problems conceiving, and were really getting depressed. Our intent to attend the yoga session was to simply relax and try not to focus on our busy and hectic lives. Mission accomplished, and the additional reward was my wife got pregnant! I could not have been more happy with the results. Their breathing techniques work, and I implement them every day. I have learned that even if I am in the office and I begin the breathing techniques it is almost like a new day. No more 330 blues. No more tired all day. I am now the proud father of a very happy baby. He is almost 2 years old now and I thank Coach every day for this beautiful gift.
Do yourself a favor and just try one session, I guarantee you will not regret it.
Sometimes rest is not the only thing needed to recharge your batteries. Yoga is the solution.
